Realism

It’s not a genre as such, but I separate it to differentiate it from the other genres I write in. This includes dirty realism, transgressive fiction, magical realism, and, perhaps, contemporary narrative. I like rough, raw, unfiltered literature. That’s why I’m influenced by writers like Charles Bukowski, Pedro Juan Gutiérrez, William S. Burroughs, Chuck Palahniuk… That’s it. Reading by shock.

I’m going to publish a collection of stories I’ve written over the past twenty years that can be grouped into this pseudo-genre. Different from each other, but with much in common. Reality, however it comes, in droplets of fiction.

A decaying room featuring surreal graffiti art amidst rubble, capturing urban desolation and decay.
